<image:caption>Location: Srisaket, Thailand. Area: 350 m2 Partner & Lead Architect: Jaturon Kingminghae Team: Montira Panpleewan, Vitchapol Taerattanachai, Thadcharin Suttapom, Yanyadech Phornphong Client: confidential Situated in a vast empty land but surrounded by a rice field in a suburban area out of Srisaket, the owner asked for a moderated size, single-story pitched roof house, using most ordinary materials available. With a great passion of the owner for tree transplanting, the house is simply placed near to the center of the plot, where existing infrastructure provided, divided the land into two gardens, front and back yards. The front yard offers a generous field for transplanting with easy access for tree trucks, allows maximum flexibility as a blank canvas for the owner to replant trees and create his own world. The backyard, on the other hand, is more private and intimate with lush landscape, pond, and outdoor dining space viewing toward sunset and the rice field. The linearity of the roof form and structure immediately conjoin fundamental programs in a simple order, conceals the backyard from the front, and acts as a subtle habitable element within the surrounded landscape.</image:caption>

<image:title>Projects - DROP IN/ ASEAN EDUCATION CENTER</image:title>
<image:caption>HHNFT established a Drop-In Center as an initial center to provide help and support to homeless and underprivileged children and collaborates with embassies and private sectors in emergency cases. This center is the initial place where lost and all kinds of children victims can request help. It provides protection and rehabilitation, both physically and mentally, for children with food, clothing, and medical care. Drop-In Center has established the ASEAN Education Center to provide a safe shelter for migrant children. It operates as a daycare to empower them with knowledge of necessary life skills, morals, ethics, discipline, Thai, English, Math, and their native language. Within a modest budget and tight timeframe, the new Drop-In/ ASEAN Education Center addresses the urgency of needs by using site situation and materiality to their best potential. The translucent facade facing the main street maximize floor area and flexibility, opening up the front plaza as a new learning community, and engaging the site surroundings through observations via a series of carved balconies. The design expresses materiality and construction detail to promote the migrant and local workers' skills who may be parents or guardians of the students. Low budget materials such as operable corrugated translucent sheet facade reveal activities inside, filter daylight, and provide sufficient ventilation to reduce energy consumption. <image:title>Projects - D Residence</image:title>
<image:caption>Nestled in Bangkok's vibrant cityscape, the D Residence by Creative Territories is a humble haven that blends seamlessly with its surroundings. Designed for a film director and a creative couple, this one-story house offers a serene escape from the bustling neighborhood while exuding warmth and tranquility. Situated on a 2.0 hectare plot in northeast Bangkok, the house occupies a central position on the site, inviting visitors with its unassuming front arrival area. At the same time, a private garden at the back awaits, providing a cozy amphitheatre for private event amidst nature's embrace. The D Residence merges the simplicity with the beauty of nature. Its linear flat roof and understated front elevation allow the internal gravel driveway and lush landscape to take center stage. A practical cantilever on the roof offers a welcoming feature while combatting the tropical climate. The handcrafted stone walls enfold a central courtyard, creating a harmonious connection between the public and private areas. The interplay of solid and void adds depth and intrigue to the overall simplicity design, maintaining a balance between privacy and openness. The house is organized into two L- shaped footprints that intersect. The welcoming area comprises a spacious living and dining space, designed to evoke intimacy and warmth. The double-height ceiling in the living room offers breathtaking views of the private garden, enhancing the serene ambiance. An internal bridge guides residents through the landscape and featured stone wall, seamlessly connecting different areas of the house. At the rear of the residence, a backyard resembling an auditorium with stepped seating awaits, adorned with majestic shade-providing trees. This outdoor space serves as an oasis for relaxation, dining, and hosting intimate gatherings. The integration of nature brings a sense of calm and tranquility, creating an ideal setting to unwind in harmony with the surrounding environment. The D Residence by Creative Territories offers a cozy urban retreat that harmonizes with its natural surroundings. Through its understated design and connection with nature, this humble haven provides respite from Bangkok's bustling city life. A place to find inspiration and tranquility for the couple in this lovingly crafted space, and spaces that nurture the soul of its owners.
